Joseph Pire is an independent full-stack developer and designer based in Belgium. He works with founders and small teams to ship digital products from concept to production — design, frontend, backend, and infrastructure. His stack rotates around TypeScript, Astro, Next.js, Node.js and PostgreSQL. Past work includes Carder (a multi-tenant NFC SaaS), Sobeltax (a logistics platform) and the marketing site of Eco-BBQ. Joseph Pire is an independent full-stack developer and designer based in Belgium. He builds digital products end-to-end — design, frontend, backend and infrastructure — for founders and small teams that want a senior generalist rather than three specialists. His stack rotates around TypeScript, Astro, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL and Drizzle, but the stack is rarely the interesting part of the job: the interesting part is what to build, what not to build, and what to defer. He has shipped projects across e-commerce, SaaS, logistics, and marketing platforms — most notably Carder, a multi-tenant NFC business-card SaaS deployed under multiple domains, and Sobeltax, a vehicle-fleet platform serving the Belgian agency network. Before going freelance, he worked on internal tools, content management systems, and a few production AI integrations. He writes regularly at josephpire.dev about web development, AI-assisted workflows, self-hosting and the trade-offs of building real products in 2026. He works in French, English and Dutch, takes payment in EUR, invoices from Belgium, and keeps roughly a third of his calendar for sub-contracting and white-label work with agencies.
