iT.SCHOOL — School Management SaaS

iT.SCHOOL is a SaaS platform published by Keyros SA, designed to free administrative teams in Belgian schools from time-consuming financial management tasks. Each school runs in its own hosted environment (one tenant, one URL), with dedicated interfaces for students, parents, principals, and administrative staff.

Technical implementation details are confidential and cannot be disclosed.

6 Core Modules

Users — Complete profile per person (address, email, phone, parents, guardian, student ID) for students, teachers, and administrative staff, in compliance with GDPR.

Groups — Organisation of students, teachers, and classes. Some groups are created automatically (years, classes); others are created manually or imported from ProEco.

Parent portal — Secure interface to view spending, track attendance and lateness, order photos and textbooks, register for activities, book meals, and pay invoices.

Finance — Rechargeable student wallet (bank transfer or online payment); centralised accounting (revenue, client history); invoicing with overdue tracking, automatic reminders, and late fees.

Messaging — Email campaigns to students, teachers, and guardians with attachments; open rate and read-date tracking.

Documents — Downloadable invoices, report cards, and communications, customisable by student ID.

Optional Modules

The platform also offers over ten additional modules:

• POS (Point of Sale) — Unlimited physical or virtual tills, sales of books, photocopies, tokens; real-time statistics and inventory
• Meal booking — Booking via kiosk or parent portal with immediate payment at time of reservation
• Vending machines — Badge-based purchases, real-time balance display, per-machine and per-product statistics
• Attendance / Lateness — Real-time tracking via tablet or smartphone, automatic parent notifications
• Activities & Events — Online registration, split payment management (school trips), automatic reminders
• Textbook lending — Orders by class/level, automatic invoicing and credit notes at year end
• After-school care — Automatic attendance recording, slot-based billing, tax certificates and ONE reports
• Parent-teacher meetings — Online appointment booking, email confirmation, printable schedule
• Lockers — Assignment, key management, automated deposit and refund
• Photocopiers — Direct debit from student wallet, per-machine statistics, class bulk copying
• Class photos — Online ordering, post-parent-approval billing, return management

My Contribution

I first joined this project as an intern, then continued working on it alongside my studies for a year. I now contribute as a freelance developer on a part-time basis.

Over the course of this collaboration, I:

• Developed two functional modules integrated into the main platform
• Carried out application testing to ensure the reliability of critical flows (payments, access management, student data)
